Tidal pools are magical places and you can now bring a bit of that magic home. In collaboration with writer Freya Bromley, Natalie has painted a set of original artworks inspired by Freya's book The Tidal Year, and 50% of sales go to Surfers Against Sewage.

The Tidal Year is about the year Freya spent swimming in Britain’s tidal pools after her brother, Tom, died. It’s a story about trying to find joy in your life after the unthinkable happens. For Freya, that joy came from cold water. A swim can’t fix anything, but for a while it does make things feel lighter. For Freya, one of the best things about the book being out in the world is hearing from people who've gone looking for the pools after reading it, sometimes for the same reasons she did. This is how Freya and Natalie met.

How to purchase an original artwork

50% of sales goes to Surfers Against Sewage, who campaign to end sewage pollution in our seas and rivers, so places like these stay safe to swim in. Every pool painted here depends on clean water.
