Live event painting is a lovely way to bring something a little different to your wedding day. Throughout the celebration, I’ll create a series of A6 pen and watercolour sketches of you and your guests, each one a personalised keepsake they can take home.

 

It’s a relaxed and fun alternative to a photo booth, guests often enjoy watching the process, chatting as I paint, and leaving with a unique memento of the day. Each piece is original, hand-painted, and captures the the moment in a simple, expressive style.

​How live guest painting works:

 

On the day myself and my assistant will attend the wedding for the agreed duration (3 hour minimum). My assistant will take photos of the bride, groom and guests, whether that’s in couples, individuals, or small groups, so I can focus on painting.

 

I’ll work my way through the paintings as the day unfolds, creating quick, expressive pen and watercolour sketches (please note: these are stylised artworks without facial features). Each finished piece will be signed, packaged, and ready for guests to collect at their leisure. It’s always lovely to see their reactions as they pick them up!

 

I typically complete around 7 paintings per hour (based on pairs – group compositions may take a little longer). If you’d like a guaranteed number of paintings completed and time doesn’t allow for them all on the day, I can finish the remaining artworks back in the studio for an additional fee per piece. These can then be posted to you to share with your guests.

Feature Artwork​

The Feature Artwork is a one-off bespoke pen and watercolour painting, created in real time as part of your event. I’ll set up my easel and work on the piece throughout your event, while guests are welcome to watch and chat as the piece progresses. It’s always lovely when guests come over for a chat to learn more about the process, we often end up discussing their own interests in the arts which is always such a joy. 

 

The artwork can be tailored to reflect the nature of your event. For corporate occasions, it could be created as a piece to be raffled, auctioned, or used to support fundraising. For weddings, it becomes a lasting memento, capturing a special moment from your day. 

 

Past examples include:

• Painting city skylines live at corporate events, with the finished piece raffled to raise money for charity.

• Creating bespoke painted table numbers during a corporate networking event, which were then used as part of the evening’s dining experience

• Capturing the bride and groom at the altar as a keepsake of their wedding day

 

Each Feature Artwork is entirely bespoke, designed to reflect your event, your audience, and the atmosphere you want to create, resulting in a one-of-a-kind piece.

Travel expenses are charged as an additional fee on a case-by-case basis. In general, an overnight stay will be required if the event is more than an hour's travel from my studio in London.
